Happiness is....

Hello everyone,
Did you know that Manor House Creations and Twiddleybitz have teamed up this month! I was so lucky to be sent some gorgeous OTP chipboard projects from Twiddleybitz. The first project I did was using this gorgeous 3D Shadow Box.

So I transformed it into this.....

"Happiness"

I did my usual ripping/tearing/curling and had oodles of fun creating this cute little beach scene.  This photo was taken at Easter time while camping at the beach.  This place is seriously so beautiful and amazing, a real little bit of paradise.   This beach is privately owned...well sort of I guess...the owners (who we know) property backs right up to the beach and the public can't access it.  So the shells that were on this beach were truly amazing, fully intact and just beautiful...I think we collected a few buckets of shells while we were there.

Anyway, enough rambling...happiness is really just enjoying these little moments together...I have used loads and loads of Shimmerz products on this layout to give it a real beachy/sparkly feel. Photos just don't do it justice but you will get the idea I am sure :))

Beautiful Manor House flowers....

I am really into beads and sequences at the moment, so they were fun to add!

And look what we got on the weekend....a very cute little dog for the boys...awww...these photos melt my heart! Very good friends of ours are heading off for a trip around Australia and needed a new home for one of their dogs.  Mimi (named from previous owners) is just gorgeous, so well behaved and very good with children.  Haven't heard her bark once and she does lots of sleeping...hehe...so over the weekend she got loads of cuddles and smothered in attention from the boys...While Riley is at school, Finlay just sits outside with Mimi, talking to her and giving her lots of pats...a great little friend for him :))

Sorry this is such a long post!

Can't believe its August tomorrow...where is the year going!! Will be back to share another Twiddley project soon.

Thanks so much for visiting, your comments really keep me going :))

Have a great day!

Everything is Beautiful....

especially in the eyes of children...and I am trying these days to see what they see and just experience nature's beauty.

I created a layout for Manorhouse Creations using some of the new and very gorgeous winter flowers.

"Beauty is Everywhere"

I so love those cute petite roses...my favourite and using lots of Shimmerz on the background paper for added interest. I also cut the circles out of my background paper for a different look.

A few more close ups...

Don't forget to check out what's happening this week at Manorhouse Creations...its all happening on the BLOG.

Everyday Moments....

Hello Hello :))))
Thought it was about time I brush the cobwebs away and pop back into my sadly neglected blog to share with you a quick little project I got up to over the school holidays.  School has been back for a week now but I haven't been well lately so I just didn't feel the urge to blog.

At the time I did this layout I just wanted to experiment, try different textures and techniques...

Monkey Business.... I have enjoyed recently going through my photos and coming across some everyday moments...always bound to bring a smile to my face and I love to think about those good times.  This photo on the layout was one of those times.  The boys had been given this game from their grandparents, and I remember sitting their playing with them soaking up all the little giggles and silliness that we were having while playing this game. So I wanted to reflect the fun we had this day on my layout, by having fun myself using lots of bits and pieces.

The background paper is some MME.  I scrunched and glued some tissue paper and put it over the top for a different look and texture. Hambly, washi tape, 7Gypsies tape and lots of Shimmerz products on this layout.

I have discovered a love for sequences and that black 'wirey' thing is actually some Prima Twisters, which I just coloured and twisted in my own way. Love it :))

And look what is about to arrive any day now.... can't wait!!!

Hope you are having a great week....thanks so much for visiting.

Experience.... I decided to do a layout about myself for once...last month was was particularly rough for me in many ways, lots of things happening in my life, family changes etc etc... so this Tim Holtz stamp was perfect for me, something that I need to remember. Played around and did something different, and placed it over the photo for a different look.

My feathers..... :))))

Love using my script stamp and then while is was still damp, spritzing some water on on to give it that old vintage look.
